Job Responsibilities: As a key member of this dynamic and forward-thinking organization, you will lead a team and have the autonomy to work on complex procurement files within your assigned area of responsibility. Your expertise and innovative approach will be instrumental in providing strategic advice, guidance, and cutting-edge procurement solutions to management, clients, and stakeholders. In addition, you will serve as an ambassador and mentor to junior staff, playing a pivotal role in their professional development.

Specific duties include:

• Collaborating closely with clients and colleagues to develop visionary procurement strategies that align with the organization's ambitious goals.
• Inspiring, supervising, and managing a team of highly skilled procurement professionals.
• Leveraging your expertise to provide insights on procurement-related issues and demonstrating a profound understanding of departmental operations, as well as the interconnections between business lines, procurement, and corporate services.
• Driving the creation, review, and approval of Request for Proposals (RFPs)
• Contributing to the modernization of IT procurement and infrastructure within the organization, pushing boundaries and embracing cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record of fostering effective collaboration and providing guidance to team members.
• Bilingual proficiency in both French and English is mandatory.
• A proactive self-starter with a strong drive for continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication skills to effectively engage with management, clients, and stakeholders.
• Willingness to embrace a hybrid work model, allocating 2 days per week to work from the nearest Government of Canada office.
• Possess a minimum of 7 years of procurement experience.
• A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Preferred:

• Experience with the federal government procurement process. Considerationwill be given to other procurement processes.
