The position requires a highly motivated, trustworthy, flexible and pro-active Analyst to undertake a range of analytical and administration duties, based in Canada.

The Elanco Procurement team is responsible for sourcing goods and services in a way that adds value to the Elanco business. The focus of Indirect Procurement roles will be to identify and establish category strategies and apply those strategies to sourcing and value capture projects. Another important responsibility is to maintain relationships with suppliers who also interface with our key stakeholder partners. The individuals will develop and maintain market knowledge for one or more spend areas and countries, identify, and implement best business practices that deliver value, and network internally to influence change. He/ She will also lead local and regional projects through the strategic sourcing process, resulting in negotiation and contracting with the selected supplier(s). He/ She will be involved in relationship management with critical suppliers to assure the value targeted during negotiations is realized for the business.

This position is responsible for supporting the Elanco LACUA organization in Canada operation. The position will collaborate with the Elanco Procurement Global Category Leads for Marketing/Sales, R&D, G&A, Fleet, IT, HR, Regulatory, Facilities and Real Estate categories, drive productivity through the sourcing, and value capture process. The position requires working knowledge of indirect service categories. The person selected for this role will act as a business partner and change agent to fully understand Elanco’s business needs and ensure buy-in and successful implementation of Procurement solutions.

Main Activities:

• Responsible for strategic application and negotiation with supplier.
• Ensure Purchase Orders are set up correctly
• Create and implement reports related to savings and SLAs.
• Ensure that P2P personnel are appropriately trained in accounting principles and understand the business impact of their accounts
• Support P2P policies and procedures
• Monitor FRAP violations and reporting
• Establish and manage all contracts for Canada Affiliate, following procurement process.
• Constant benchmarking for the development of new supply strategies
• Define and follow up KPIs for the most important suppliers.
• Ensure compliance in the process, price and quality established.
• Support planning and execution of Procurement activities to Canada Affiliate.
• The role has point responsibility for sharing the lead of sourcing process from strategy development and supplier selection through contract negotiation and ongoing relationship management with other functions. The person in this position works closely with key stakeholders daily.
• Acting as a point of contact to benchmark and represent the company in innovation projects.
• Manage supplier relationships, including contract, price and maintenance.

Additional preferences:

• Understanding value chains and associated cost drivers
• Spanish ( Read, Write, verbal) and Portuguese are preferable
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, PPT and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in high pressure circumstances
• Comfortable with saying “NO” to inappropriate behaviors (policy violations)

• Proven skills in negotiating and understanding of commercial law

Requisites:

• At least 3 years of Procurement experience with a large company
• Travel availability: 10%
• English is mandatory.
• Excel, Word and PowerPoint high skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Economics.
