Job Description
Position Overview
The Purchasing Fin Analyst is responsible for providing support for advisor-led strategic procurement activities and initiatives; conducting market research, assisting with bidding, arranging quantitative data and helping advisors analyze comparative tables. Develop and regularly update KPIs, reports and dashboards used by the team to track activities, as well as help monitor team performance. This position reports to the National Asset Preparation Manager.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Assists in the implementation of new vendors, including vendor creation and purchase order requests through supplier relationship management tool
  • Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for production needs
  • Assist advisors in compiling and analyzing data and in making recommendations about tendering outcomes
  • Escalation of complex issues to National Asset Preparation Manager
  • Responsible for purchase order processing
  • Coordinate and highlight current priorities
  • Analyze procurement categories, suppliers and past expenditures
  • Contact vendors to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve receiving discrepancies, and other problems
  • Creates successful relationships with vendor contacts at all levels of the organization.
  • Assists in the transition and monitoring of contractual agreements for the organization's vendors
  • Develop and regularly update KPIs, reports and dashboards for the Strategic Procurement team on a regular basis or as required
  • Defines the correct buying channel for each request, chooses the best supplier in terms of price, quality, and lead time
  • Oversees the accuracy and timeliness of all vendor reporting. Ensures that reporting meets requirements problem solving for non-complex issues with operations user
  • Monitor vendor performance, recommending modifications when necessary
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to procurement processes and policies
Job Qualifications
  • Experience in vendor management and procurement
  • Familiarity with financial analysis, pricing and procurement practices, an asset
  • Must strive to minimize stock loss
  • Commitment to ethics, transparency, integrity and discretion
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint (Power BI, an asset)
  • Logical, meticulous and able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
