WinstonBrock Recruitment, on behalf of our Niagara-based Based Manufacturing client, is seeking a Purchasing Manager.
Role Overview:As the Purchasing Manager, you will significantly impact procurement strategies by defining and implementing sourcing methods and fostering supplier relationships. You will serve as a vital link between procurement and internal teams, fostering relationships across the Global Group, monitoring market trends, and pursuing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- People Management:A relationship builder who bridges all levels of staff, from the floor to management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Engage actively with other departments, including sales, marketing, and production.
- Market Intelligence:Leverage market information to support purchasing decisions and enhance the decision-making process.
- Supplier Insight:Understand supplier capabilities, market trends, and cost structures, building long-term and mutually beneficial relationships.
- Cost Optimization:Implement actions to reduce purchasing costs and improve safety and quality levels of materials, goods, and services.
- Negotiation Expertise:Efficiently negotiate with suppliers, validate agreements, and monitor ongoing results.
- Strategic Improvement:Continuously improve procurement methods, processes, and controls.
- Data Analysis:Conduct routine data analysis and reporting, distilling intricate scenarios to provide proposals and recommendations.
- Purchasing Process:Oversee the purchasing process, from evaluating needs to negotiation, contract proposal, and order issuance.
Your progressive experience includes:
- BA in a related field, Purchasing Designation preferred.
- Experience in group buying and collaborative procurement practices.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to use Excel for data analysis.
- Experience with Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes.
