WinstonBrock Recruitment is searching for a Director of Sales on behalf of our St. Catharines based client.About the Company:In business for over 75 years, this well-established Machine Shop serves a diverse and growing range of industries. Management is forward-thinking, compliance-driven, and committed to continually improving its highly specialized manufacturing processes. Their team of engineers develops high-precision parts with a variety of materials, including stainless steels, high nickel-based alloys, high-speed steels, carbides, and ceramics. The company continues to expand and is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team.Job Type: Ful Time, PermanentLocation: On-Site in St Catharines, ONShop Hours: 7:30 am – 4 pm, Monday to FridayWage: Base salary + commissions + excellent benefits package and RRSP matchingKey Accountabilities:Mentor relationships with existing and new clients through calls, site visits, attending industry events and trade shows.Ensure existing customers are cared for and inbound leads are met by meeting and exceeding clients’ expectations.Develop new business opportunities through lead generation, cold calling, and networking.Manage the sales team of 6 direct reports.Motivate and mentor the sales team and encourage them to build a book of business.Assist Sales Reps with quoting and proposals, negotiate sales contracts and terms with clients.Review the profitability and quality of jobs going out and provide the Continuous Improvement Team with feedback.Monitor plant capacity, and ensure the plant has a good flow of sales.Chair meetings and communicate with Production Team, Plant Scheduler, Plant Manager and Ownership.Available for travel across North America (same-day turnaround).Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities.Your progressive experience includes:Minimum of 10 years experience in a sales role.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the machine shop industry.Diploma or bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.Strong understanding of machine shop processes and capabilities.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Proven track record of achieving sales targets.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to travel (day trips) and attend trade shows (approx. 1 week/year).Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.How to Apply:Qualified Candidates, please send your resume.
