The Role:

As an Executive Chef, you lead the culinary and stewarding team to deliver excellent dining experiences in our restaurants, banquet spaces, and employee cafeteria. Leading a team of 80+ individual foster a culture of positivity and teamwork. This position reports to the Director of Food & Beverage and works closely with the front-of-house leadership team in restaurants and catering to ensure seamless experiences. You will continuously be developing interesting and exciting menus for our guests to enjoy that help drive revenue and profitability for the Food & Beverage Division.

Job duties:

• Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food-related functions
• Responsible for guiding and developing all team members
• Areas of responsibility include all food preparation areas (Restaurants, Banquets, Cafeteria) and all support areas (Stewarding, night cleaning)
• Accountable for the overall success of kitchen operations as measured by key business indicators
• Supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a high quality product is produced
• Must ensure sanitation and food standard guidelines are achieved and exceeded
• Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of responsibility

Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

• Red Seal Diploma or similar diploma; 10 years experience in culinary in a hotel environment.
• A skilled leader who understands how to motivate and drive positive team culture.
• Self-starter – always pushing to make the business better.
• Well-rounded, demonstrated ability in different types of establishments.
• Must be highly Health and Safety conscious and dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Passionate about delivering great food-related experiences.
• A dynamic, enthusiastic individual who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions.
