Our client is is a well-known restaurant known for their ability to appease your taste buds. They pride themselves on producing exciting and new innovating Italian focused dishes for the restaurant. They are seeking a Sous Chef with a passion for quality to join the team. This is an exciting role to join a team who are very supportive and have a passion for quality. You will be working closely with their Head Chef and Executive Chef in the daily running of the kitchen, which includes a collaborative approach in creating new dishes and menu. Open to CDP's looking to step up into a Jnr Sous role.

- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs
- Supervise a team of 7-15 activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
- Recruit and hire staff
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants
- Ability to comply with good hygiene practices and OHS
- Able to work in a high-volume environment
- 1+ years’ experience in Sous Chef (or 2+ years as a CPD)
- Ability to work both autonomously and lead a team
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Exceptional eye for detail
