We are looking for a Director of Finance & Accounting

As a Director of Finance & Accounting at Mednow, you will be responsible for all accounting activities, including preparing the company's consolidated financial statements and public company reporting, filings and other requirements. Basically, we are looking for a Rockstar in Finance, someone who has the technical know-how and practical, hands-on experience to manage the full cycle accounting for various legal entities in a public company environment.

We can rely on you to:

• Lead development and maintenance of finance accounting policies, processes, and best practices
• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy and consistency across different systems and databases
• Identify and/or support process improvement and cost saving initiatives
• Monitor the company's cash and borrowing ratios and optimize debt repayments to ensure the company has access to adequate liquidity to meet its financial obligations
• Manage the company's cash position, including forecasting and cash flow analysis
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Provide financial advice and support to senior management
• Analyze financial results and prepare variance analysis
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis using a variety of different data sources
• Manage relationships with banks, and other financial institutions
• Prepare the company's consolidated financial statements and public company reporting filings and other requirements
• Drive improvement, uniformity and consistency in financial operations

What you bring to the table:

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience
• Strong financial reporting experience with small and medium sized public companies, ideally for a start-up operation, following IFRS accounting standards
• University degree in Accounting or Finance - required
• Working independently and collaborating with key functional stakeholders
• Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CGA) is required
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Demonstrated attention to details with a focus on organization and accuracy
• Experience leading cross-functional business projects, solid judgment, able to help teams make good decisions and recommendations supported by analysis and commercially reasonable assumptions
• 10 years of finance experience
• The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with numerous competing priorities and reporting deadlines
• Must have excellent interpersonal, leadership, and presentation skills
• Must have strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
