Job Description

Field Aviation (aka Field Aerospace) has been providing specialized services to the international aerospace industry for over 70 years. We’re looking for a Business Development Director to take flight with us. This is a remote position, with preference given to candidates located in Toronto or Ottawa.


The Business Development Director (Canada) is responsible for identifying and capturing new business for the company aligned with Field Aerospace’s strategic goals. Developing and implementing strategy for top line growth for the Canadian business. Responsible for working directly with the management team to provide strategic value and input to the business.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Working with Canadian Federal and Provincial Government customers in understanding and identifying needs, requirements, and future opportunities.
  • Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through proactive planning and management
  • Manages an assigned key account/sub-account to maximize sales revenues, aligned with strategic goals, and meeting corporate objectives
  • Working across functions to develop solutions to customers’ requirements
  • Building a sales pipeline and maintaining consistent opportunities
  • Position requires some travel.
  • Establishing and meeting sales objectives through forecasting and developing annual sales quotas
  • Developing presentations and proposals in support of major sales campaigns and briefing at the executive level.
  • Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings

Education

  • Preference given to former Canadian Armed Forces personnel
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Post-secondary certification or university degree in commerce/engineering or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and work experience.
