With twenty locations throughout Atlantic Canada, and locations in Dubai, UAE, Mezza is in the midst of exponential growth across Canada and is seeking energetic, focused, and talented individuals to join their corporate team.
The Details:
Mezza is currently seeking a Director ofFranchise Development to join ourmanagement team.
As a key member of our corporate team, you’ll be responsible for driving Mezza’s expansion of franchise locations throughout Canada by awarding franchises and managing our development department. You’ll be running point on the sales process and various stages of the new franchise acquirement, including overseeing applications, disclosures, franchisee approvals, site selection, construction, franchisee training, and grand openings.
Further, you’ll be tasked with representing the brand while coaching prospects through the legal process, financing resolution, and real estate development. We’ll count on you to help develop and execute innovative lead generation strategies for attracting quality franchise candidates, including trade shows, information seminars, and market visits. You’ll be in the business of developing and nurturing relationships.
You will be advising and reporting directly to the President & Vice-President, on matters related to franchise development.
The qualified candidate will be professional, influential, highly organized, and a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit; and hold the highest degree of ethics and integrity.
The Finer Details:
·Organize and oversee the Mezza franchise development department;
·Manage the entire new franchisee process from initial inquiries to the opening of new locations;
·Evaluate potential franchisees, determining suitability and qualifying candidates for franchise approval;
·Review new franchise applications, legal disclosures, applicant approvals, real estate site selection, construction, franchisee training, and grand openings;
·Coordinate financing and legal matters, while also acting as a liaison with a multitude of real-estate representatives;
·Consult with executive team (operations, marketing, finance) on securing and onboarding new franchisees;
·Manage and direct all aspects of Mezza’s involvement in franchise recruiting, including trade shows, market visits, and information seminars; maintaining diligent records for new and existing leads;
·Collaborate with marketing department on the advertisement of new and existing franchise opportunities; interact on social media to further recruitment goals;
·Improve Mezza’s operational standards and procedures, by enforce regulations across the franchise system; and, when necessary, execute disciplinary actions;
·Provide motivational support and business advice for franchisees.
Education and Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years sales experience/ business development or recruitment;
- Highly organized and detailed; professional, tactful, and relationship driven;
- A problem-solver with determination to succeed;
- Able to travel.
- A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or other related areas;
- Experience on LinkedIn and other marketing/recruitment tools;
- Previous franchise sales or franchise development experience a strong asset;
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and strong communication skills;
