THE OPPORTUNITY
For over 50 years, Thomson Power systems (a Regal Rexnord company) has been a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for use in the Power Generation Industry. We are currently looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our dedicated team as a Desktop Windows Graphic User Interface (GUI) Developer. This is a unique opportunity to play a significant role in revolutionizing the industrial power control industry.
YOUR MISSION
Position Summary:
As a Desktop Windows GUI (Graphic User Interface) Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-friendly graphical user interfaces (GUI) applications using Windows operating systems for industrial power control products. The successful candidate will use creative and technical skills to develop high-performance, intuitive user interfaces that meet customer needs and exceed industry standards.
Major Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Windows graphical user interfaces for industrial power control products
• Analyze customer requirements and develop solutions that address customer needs
• Perform usability testing and feedback to improve the user experience
• Develop user interface prototypes to ensure efficient and effective solutions
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides
• Ensure application compatibility and functionality on various Windows operating systems
• Follow best practices for developing software for Windows operating systems
• Provide internal and product support for technical issues of developed applications
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues
• Other duties as assigned
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders on specs, architecture and development/testing to ensure the successful completion of projects
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements to improve the user experience.
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Ensure applications are compatible with multiple versions of Windows operating systems

ARE YOU THE ONE?
Required Education, Experience and Skills:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience with VB.NET and VBA Scripting preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering of Computer Science or equivalent related experience preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Five (5) year of relevant experience with proficiency in Visual Studio Design, C++/11, MFC, Multi-Threading Experience, Networking understanding and experience, C#/.NET, WinForms, WPF
• Knowledge of industrial power control systems and protocols is a plus
• Previous knowledge or experience with 3 phase power preferred

• Industrial Systems: (~$600 Million revenues) Includes large motors, alternators, automatic transfer switches and switchgears which are sold to agricultural, marine, oil and gas, data centers, power generation and general industry equipment markets. Segment headquarters is based in Wausau, WI.
• Motion Control Solutions: (~2.2 Billion revenues) Constitutes products like gearing, bearings, couplings, and conveying components which are sold in a wide variety of markets including mater handling, oil & gas, beverage, and other industrial markets. • Climate Solutions: (~$1.0 Billion revenues) Includes fractional HP motors, variable speed controls, and air moving solutions which are sold in the residential heating & ventilating, water heating, commercial refrigeration, and other OEM and aftermarkets. Segment headquarters is based in Fort Wayne, IN.
• Commercial Systems: (~$1.0 Billion revenues) Includes medium motors from fractional to 5HP, fans and blowers and Hermetic stator and rotor sets which are sold to commercial heating and ventilating, commercial kitchen and laundry markets. Segment headquarters is based in Grafton, WI.
