We are seeking a highly creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Senior Graphic Designer to join our growing in-house creative team. This position is an exciting and varied role that will see the successful candidate work on a wide range of deliverables in varying styles. You will help bring some of Canada's most recognized wine and spirits brands to life with highly effective branding, packaging design, marketing collateral, digital content, and various other print projects.
We Are Looking For a Teammate With

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and internal client expectations, including managing multiple projects and prioritizing work in order to meet deadlines
• Comfort presenting creative concepts and presentations to stakeholders and responding to feedback
• Ability to conceptualize and create original creative concepts for new design projects and execute them within the context of a brand, communication, and marketing strategy
• Superb attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality work
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in design, graphic design, or a related field
• Experience in the beverage/alcohol industry (CPG, pharmaceutical, tobacco/cannabis, cosmetics, food, health, and beauty also considered)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience designing creative content
• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
• Advanced skills working in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and comfort in a Mac environment
• Bonus skills and experience:
• Excellent knowledge of branding principles and the ability to apply the brand "look and feel" to all print and digital marketing materials
• Demonstrated ability to nurture and mentor a team of designers, working closely in a highly collaborative team environment
• Knowledge of pre-press and the ability to prepare files for printing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• A strong portfolio showcasing professional examples that demonstrate high proficiency in visual design principles, such as typography, colour theory, hierarchy, contrast, repetition, and whitespace
• Illustration and hand-drawing
• The ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines

This Teammate Will Be Accountable For

• Creating visual concepts using strong graphic design software skills to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers
• Manage timelines, budgets, and internal client expectations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Estimating time required to complete work, working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, and meeting deadlines
• Translating internal and external client requirements into effective designs and producing high-quality final deliverables
• Organizing, updating, and maintaining project files, digital assets, and project management tools
• Supervise and mentor junior designers, providing clear direction, feedback, and guidance
• Staying informed of the latest design trends, technologies, and industry developments
• Conceptualizing, designing, and creating branding, packaging, and other materials for various projects in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure that all needs of the business are met
• Prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities to ensure project goals are met
• Preparing, coordinating and scheduling various partners and outside vendors (e.g. printers)
• Ensuring consistency in brand standards across all design projects
