Siber Façade Group is an expert in the design, engineering, fabrication, QA/QC, assembly, and construction of custom façade systems. We provide complete tendering, procurement, risk management, pre-construction, and installation services to clients interested in the global supply of building envelope systems. Our focus is on innovative architecture and challenging building projects, and our team has the experience to handle any project regardless of size or complexity. We are located in Burnaby, BC.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Façade Designer/Draftsman. The Façade Designer/Draftsman will be responsible for delivering high-quality shop drawings, designing facades, glazing, and other building envelope elements.

Qualifications

• Experience with 3D modelling software is a plus
• Strong technical knowledge of building envelope systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
• Proficient in creating high-quality shop drawings
• Experience in façade design and to be specific Unitized CW and Window Wall
• Ability to work collaboratively with architects and engineers to achieve project goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

In line requirement

• Revit, Inventor or such related software knowledge is a BIG plus
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in Aluminum and glass industry (façade engineering)
• Fluency of Auto CAD (2D & 3D) is a must
• Bachelor’s degree/Associate/diploma in civil/Architecture or a related field (preferred but not compulsory)

Preference will be provided if candidate has.

• Ability to read and understand the project specifications (Glazing)
• Familiar with different façade systems (Window Wall & Unitized Curtain Wall)
• Ability to read and understand the construction drawings and instructions [ IFT/IFC/SI ]
• Availability in CANADA is a BIG plus since the position is in Burnaby (British Columbia)
