User Interface And Experience (Ui And Ux) Designer: Portal Lead (College Of New Caledonia (Cnc))

This position designs and leads a variety of digital strategies and tools to support the College’s communication and enrolment goals with relation to the student portal. Leading collaborative, cross-departmental teams, this position supervises plans, leads, and executes digital strategy including producing materials/products/structures/plans for digital consumption. They maintain familiarity with emerging trends and technologies and advocate for the use of best practices in the digital space. The work and decisions of the position are highly visible and have direct repercussions on the goals and efficacy of CNC’s educational mandate including a significant impact on CNC’s brand, reputation, enrolment, and recruitment efforts.

Under the direction of the Executive Director and Associate Director, and in collaboration with faculty and staff this position leads portal and app development, providing creative and technical support from design to implementation. This includes supervising the creation process of a wide variety of content for multiple channels and mediums (portal, digital, social media, print, web, etc.) and provide recommendations to stakeholders on visual and creative direction with a focus on accessibility and user experience (UE/UX)
