About the Role - Intermediate UX/UI Designer

We are looking for an Intermediate UX/UI designer to join our team. You will be responsible for helping define and drive the future of our products and our clients' products. You will translate users' needs and business requirements into simple, understandable solutions through research, ideation, prototyping, testing and wireframing. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a robust UX process, have an eye for artful design and possess superior UI skills. This role will work closely with the rest of the Design team, Account Managers, Project Managers and Developers to assist in building intuitive and accessible products. Thoughtfulness, patience, a sense of humour, and an eye for detail are essential.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that the signed-off UI design is implemented successfully
• Design and execute UX Research, not limited to but including usability testing
• Present design decisions clearly to the team and clients
• Collaborate with other members of the design team on UX/UI solutions
• Working in close collaboration with our teams and clients to deliver engaging projects, which can include AI, VR, AR, and more.
• Create delightful and intuitive products holding the user at the centre of the experience
• Prepare user stories, product architecture, sketches, wireframes, and prototype
• Create design deliverables, including production-ready assets, specs, style guides for iOS, Android, and responsive web
• Participate in Design Thinking sessions with our clients to help understand business goals and validate ideas

Skills and qualifications

• Proficient with industry-standard software such as Sketch, Figma, Invision or Adobe Suite
• Be an advocate of design thinking practices
• Ability to appreciate feedback and seek continuous design improvement
• UX expertise, specifically in the implementation of user testing and research throughout the design process
• Team-oriented and collaborative
• Critical thinker, Problem solver and user/customer-centred
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates your understanding of user-centric design
• Creative, analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented
• Up-to-date knowledge of best UX practices, trends and technologies
• 3-5 years of professional experience as a UX/UI designer

Hiring Process

1. Complete the application questions and include your CV.
2. If you’re shortlisted, we’ll schedule a video interview with our HR Manager.
3. If the first call goes well, we’ll reach out to schedule a further interview with either the VP of Design or the Director of UX.
4. The next stage will be a take-home task that will contain all the necessary instructions, followed by a final interview where we will conduct a Design Thinking scenario.
5. After conducting all interviews, we’ll come to a decision.
