ToysRUs Canada, proud to be Canadian owned and operated, is here to play and here to stay. There is a full-time opportunity for a Designer - Flyer in the Marketing department. Reporting to the Art Director, this position will be responsible for the execution of weekly flyers along with support for digital and print executions across brands such as Toys“R”Us, Babies“R”Us, rooms+spaces and more.

Responsibilities:
- Designs and provides hands-on support for additional customer marketing communication for Toys”R”Us, Babies”R”Us and rooms+spaces
- Keep abreast of trends in design, retail and best-in-class product presentations
- Testing and optimizing to improve communication and layout effectiveness.
- Stay aware of competitive networks and latest innovative solutions.
- Follow through on every project from beginning to end, with a high degree of communication.
- Provides hands-on input conceptualizing and designing quality print executions for Flipp and printed flyer executions
- Creates compelling designs that adhere to brand standards.
- Works with cross-functional team members to deliver and integrate creative/technical/information architecture solutions.
- Investigate and recommend methods, systems, processes and standards.
- Analyze and identify opportunity areas and implement design improvements to optimize the user’s shopping experience.
- Manages and designs creative projects from concept to completion and translates marketing objectives into creative strategies.
Qualifications:
- Ability to have a collaborative approach and leadership quality to influence and “manage” various relationships.
- 2+ years’ experience in a design role preferably background in an omni-channel retail environment.
- Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects, problem solve and have an excellent sense of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent experience with graphics software packages (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign).
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with print production processes, including but not limited to, colour correction, production envionrments, etc…
