Designer (Designer/Documentation Controller)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Implementing general changes in design / processes;
Tracking the release of all modifications made on various systems / products;
Generate shop and site instructions, fabrication drawings, machining drawings, and engineering change notices;
Co-ordination between departments before and after release of engineering change notices;
Updating documentation relating to operable vents and other products
Assist in shop related activities within a collaborative setting;
Assist in taking organic designs from customer vision to commercialization;
Prepare detailing in 3D modelling with Inventor, Revit, and AutoCAD
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of experience in a design role involving Window/Curtainwall design is an asset;
Ability to be organized in a fast paced role while paying attention to detail and accuracy against established targets;
Computer literacy, working knowledge of MS Office applications;
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills a must;
Capable of working in a fast paced environment, with tasks changing on a regular basis;
Site visits may be required;
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
