Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled profession individual to fill the position of Senior Draftsperson. The successful applicant will manage their drafting / design team to complete shop drawings and issue bills of materials for production. As a Senior Draftsperson the applicant will also be responsible for the drafting of their own projects. :

- creating a comprehensive drawing

- preparing hand-drawn sketches and measuring accessible equipment

- developing detailed drawings for layout,

- creating drawings using AutoCAD

- inspecting all designs for accuracy

- printing all fabrication related drawings

- creating high accuracy drawings.

- displaying visual representations of structures

Requirements:

- A University or College degree in architectural design / drafting (or related).

- 5 or more years experience or more.

- Excellent CAD skills.

- Excellent mathematical skills.

- Management experience.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- A positive team-oriented attitude.

- Energetic and confidant.

- Fluent in English both written and verbal.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience in plate layout, miscellaneous steel, bins, hoppers and conveyor detailing

· Knowledge of AutoCAD and Advanced Steel or equivalent 3D modeling software systems.

· Knowledge in structural steel fabrication, connections, and erection practices

· Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts

· Ability to read structural and architectural drawings

· Knowledge of building codes and CISC standards for structural steel

· A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a cooperative, yet demanding, work environment

· Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities

· Excellent Computer Skills

· Strong written / verbal communication skills in the English language

· Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills. High attention to detail
