Job Description

Position: Marketing Manager / Graphic Designer

Location: East York/On-site

Type: Permanent


We are looking to hire for a dynamic Marketing Manager with graphic design experience for a great client in the construction services industry. The Marketing Manager will lead the development of the company’s marketing strategy and oversee the implementation of all marketing initiatives to support business development objectives, as well as reinforce our client’s brand identity and reputation in the market.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead brand development and reinforcement, including vision and conceptualization in collaboration with senior management team
  • Oversee internal and external event planning and execution in collaboration with marketing and events coordinator
  • Lead design conception and key messaging strategy for client proposals, marketing collateral, templates, and other corporate communications (notices, newsletters, news releases, etc…) based on prescribed objectives
  • Develop the marketing strategy in alignment with the company’s business strategy
  • Collect data and analytics related to website and social media activity to inform ongoing/future and initiatives
  • Assist in gathering, tracking and reporting on market intelligence
  • Build and maintain an organized database of marketing assets (graphics, copy text, resumes, project profiles, proposals, etc.)
  • Execute website updates and/or redevelopments, as required
  • Photography/videos for projects, team members and events
  • Write, edit, format, and produce content to support the company’s marketing and internal/external communications initiatives
  • Translate information/data into illustrative marketable graphic representations
  • Perform market research, including SWOT, competitive analysis and drawings from various data sources
  • Initiate ideation, planning and execution of internal and external campaigns
  • Design and coordinate branded marketing materials and swag for sites, staff and events
  • Review and analyze all current communications processes and material for continuous improvement and innovation opportunities
  • Build and maintain inventory of visual assets:
  • Video content for social media and website (content marketing)
  • General office and administrative tasks, as required
  • Create persuasive presentations using such programs as PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.
  • Create and implement the annual marketing plan based on the marketing strategy and the company’s business development objectives
  • Manage proposal production and content development from internal and external partners
  • Create and implement the annual social media marketing plan and oversee is execution


Qualifications

  • Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry desired, but not essential
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (lnDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task, be proactive, work independently or in a team setting and establish priorities
  • Efficiently work under pressure in a dynamic deadline-driven environment
  • Artistic/graphic design skills to create appealing and effective communications visuals, layouts and spreads
  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing and/or Proposal development
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience in copywriting, particularly for proposals
  • Strong writing and editing skills (including grammar and punctuation)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
