A well-established Construction Company is looking for Laborer/Lagger. Previous experience is an asset, but the right candidate will be trained.

• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels and other tools
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
• Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
• Pour, or spread concrete, cutting of wood, installing lagging
• Driver license is an asset
• Inspect all equipment used in the lifting process including slings, cables, shackles and chains and straps
• Able to exercise good judgment in load handling, placement of equipment and material
• And any other duties as required
• Able to interpret and use hand signals and voice to communicate with others
• Ability to perform various types of physical labor including moderate to heavy lifting, standing, bending, shoveling, etc.
• Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in safe rigging practices.
• Use of chain saws, drills, concrete saws.
• Clean or prepare constructions sites to eliminate possible hazards
