Job Description

One of CORE's valued Canadian banking client's is hiring for a Scheduler to work remotely in Toronto, ON. If hired, you'll assist with workflow management, assign work and update schedules to ensure business operations are executed effectively. You'll also be called on to resolve complex problems and non routine inquiries from internal & external stakeholders, provide updates and maintain schedules.


Contract: 6 months, possible extensions

Location: Toronto, ON (REMOTE)

Shift: M-F, 9:00AM to 5:00PM


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of workforce management tools and practices
  • Inbound call center experience
  • Knowledge of multi-shift, multi-lingual, 24/7 environment.


Responsibilities

1) Generate advance schedules

  • Align activities to what managers need, stagger lunches to ensure there are no gaps in coverage
  • All scheduling is generated 3 weeks in advance and released on Thursday


2) Day to day scheduling

  • Monitor inbox for relevant scheduling changes
  • Adjust schedule for team members off sick
  • Managers shuffle their teams based on need, you will be trusted to make updates

Day to Day:

  • Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
  • Works with internal stakeholders to ensure requisite activities are completed on time.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
  • May review and report on progress regarding hiring and attrition.
  • Recommends and implements improvements to scheduling and intra-day processes.
  • Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
  • Focus may be on a business/group.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Develops strategic initiatives that aim to account for overages and understaffing.
  • Employs systems (e.g. customized exception reports, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.
  • Supports internal stakeholders regarding scheduling adherence (i.e., attendance, tardiness).
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Provides understanding of how external factors impact scheduling and staffing forecasting.
  • Processes and completes schedules, including scheduling exceptions requests (i.e., vacations, training, absences, leaves, overtimes, etc.).
