Skilled Worker - Production

We have a Temporary opportunity in Operations for the position of Skilled Worker (current work assignment – Filler Operator).

Shift: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Start rate: $22.04 - End rate: $29.15

• Shifts and hours may vary to support needs of the operation

The key position responsibilities include:

• Responsible for set up, start up and the operation of filling equipment, includes caser/stacker area-ensuring case supply to caser equipment and conveyers are properly working
• Input and receive data from computer terminal
• Other duties as assigned
• Regular cleaning of associated work area and equipment operated
• Maintain quality control checks of codes, seals and weights
• Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. quality standards.
• Report mechanical failures and repair minor breakdowns

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Can easily assume additional responsibility as required
• Must be a person who can multi-task and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
• Forklift Licensed preferred
• Quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision
• A high commitment level and a team player who works well with everyone
• Basic computer knowledge would be an asset
• Grade 12 education
• Mechanically inclined
• Working knowledge in food or dairy environment
