Coldbox is a growing, highly collaborative design-build construction company specializing in environmentally controlled facilities. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, we have successfully delivered numerous high-profile projects, ranging from food processing plants and massive cold-storage warehouses to smaller box-in-box refrigerated facilities.
- Coordinate and track project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, health and safety reports, contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Assist project teams in the documentation, implementation, and monitoring of project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Prepare and distribute project-related communications, meeting agendas, and minutes to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the project closeout process, including document archiving, record keeping, and lessons learned.
- Contribute to effective communication and collaboration among project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and problem-solving activities.
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in a project administration or coordination role within the construction industry, preferably on design-build projects.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to design-build construction.
- Solid analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Solid understanding of design-build project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and maintaining project records.
- Hold or working towards professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is an asset.
- Knowledge of sustainable design and green building practices.
- Hold or working towards Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) certification
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Procore experience a definite asset.
- Experience with construction project management software and collaboration platforms (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, CMiC, SiteDocs, etc.).
