Community Psychiatric Nurse Jobs

HCL Mental Health are looking for a CPN Band 6 to work in a Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team in Basildon.

Duration: 12 Weeks

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible shifts) as below

Week 1 Shift: Monday – Sunday will be 5 x 9am -5pm shifts one week and 3 x 9am – 7.30pm and 1 day 9am – 5pm

Week 2 Shift: 8am-8pm and 2 x 9-5 shifts.

Pay: Days £26 / Saturday £35 / Sunday £44

The main base is in Basildon but candidates will be required to cover Basildon Hospital, Brentwood, Billericay, Thurrock and Wickford area so MUST be a car driver. Mileage will be paid from main base to location of work at a set rate.

Job Summary

• You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and work in close co-operation with wards and Primary Health Care based professionals. You will also review service users admitted to the Mental Health Assessment Unit and work collaboratively with the Inpatient Services for as part of the In-Reach role.
• You will also be responsible for the maintenance of standards of care within the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment service. You will also be responsible for ensuring that an integrated service is provided to their clients and ensure that a good inter-disciplinary working environment is maintained.
• The post holder carries responsibility for the assessment of care needs and their development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for Older Adults and Adults of Working Age with mental health problems that are referred to the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team. You are responsible on a day to day basis to the Clinical Lead but ultimately accountable to the Team Manager for the overall service.

Experience And Skills

• Evidence of personal and professional development in contemporary mental health practice
• Experience in the use of risk assessment tools
• Able to instil confidence in others in the quality of their own work
• Additional Professional Qualification/ Experience – Dementia related
• Evidence of user focus in the organisation, delivery and evaluation of care
• Allied Health & Mental Health Practitioner (Mental Health Act 1983)
• Able to champion high standards of professional practice throughout the service area
• Ability to maintain high standards of work
• Professional Qualification (OT, Social Work, RMN)
