Client Services Manager


M Moser Associates' Toronto office is hiring a Business Development professional with connections in the building industry, to take on a Client Services Manager role in Toronto, Ontario.



Job Overview

The Client Services role is crucial to the growth of our business. It is the job of the Client Services Manager to generate new business opportunities; nurture strong relationships with existing clients; and strengthen and promote the M Moser brand.



To do this successfully you will be active in generating new leads through market research, cold & warm calling, and networking with industry professionals. Using your interpersonal instincts and active listening, you will court prospective clients, earn their trust and work with project team members to capture projects. Once the project is won, your job isn’t over – you will remain informed, involved and in touch with the client throughout the entire process, ensuring they are satisfied during and after the project delivery.



Key Responsibilities

  • Cold & Warm Calling: Calling new lead opportunities to open the door for inclusion in new projects and booking first appointments.
  • Courting Perspective Clients: Following up on business opportunities; setting up meetings; proposing, organizing and executing various marketing initiatives
  • Generate New Leads: Identifying, pursuing and appealing to M Moser's target clients
  • Capturing Projects: Prepare and deliver presentations that offer insights and ideas that clients and others have overlooked
  • Networking with Industry Professionals: Represent and promote M Moser’s brand and it's values in the marketplace by attending and participating in industry related events
  • Client Maintenance: During the project remain informed of project process and keep in regular communication with the client to ensure they think and feel that project is progressing smoothly
  • Earning the Clients Trust: Establishing and proactively maintaining strong professional relationships with key decision makers and influencers within the local market
  • Market Research: Gathering and analyzing market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends and new opportunities for new business to help determine desirability and winnability. When an opportunity is considered desirable and winnable, the objective of research is to turn a cold call into a warm call.
  • Working with Project Team Members: Capture projects and assist with managing the client throughout the work, acting as a confidant and life-line that they trust and can turn to



Job Requirements

As part of M Moser Associates Client Services Manager, you are an energetic and ambitious go-getting who isn’t afraid to make waves or push the boundaries to uncover creative new business leads. You will be a mature self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset. You be self-reflective with an eagerness to learn. You will be persistent yet professional with a strong sense of integrity. You will have exceptional people and communication skills with the ability and desire to build and maintain new relationships. Probably the most important key to success in Client Services, is having a fire and hunger to prove yourself that never falters as you strive to enhance both Moser’s business opportunities and your personal career.



Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • Successful track record or negotiating and closing contracts the win new business
  • Confidence in speaking with high level executives and delivering presentations/proposals
  • Active in the market with a deep understanding of the industry
  • Deep connections in Toronto and surrounding area building market
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Architecture, Interior Design or similar, preferred
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience working in a Business Development role for an industry related company: MEP; IT; Furniture; Real Estate; Design-Build; Construction
  • Demonstrated ability to work both entrepreneurially and collaboratively with a team
