Cfo - Chief Financial Officer

Our client in the NPO sector is currently seeking an experienced interim CFO to support them for a 4-month contract with long-term potential.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing financial services and for the development of financial management systems, policies and reporting, creating the annual budget
• Preparing funding reports for governmental agencies and other business partners
• Leading the development of operational plans and strategies to align the Finance department activities with the strategic directions of the organization
• Analyzing the financial statements on a monthly basis; supporting and supervising accounting staff and liaising with external partners.”
• Providing strategic management of the accounting and finance function

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with NPO experience in a senior finance role.

In addition to the above, the following skills and experience are also desired:

• Strong fund accounting experience
• Able to work with a broad range of stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and have a commitment to team culture
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills and able to converse with non-Finance people
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adjust and work with different people
• Experience in preparing funding reports to key stakeholders and financial statements for senior management
• Experience reconciling and reporting on programs to governmental agencies and key business partners
• Proven senior management/leadership experience
• Fast learner and adept with business systems
