Briefing on financial authority, regulations and financial structure

Processing vendor invoices, payables and receivables

Initiating, processing and finalizing claims

Assisting members with credit card and reconciliation

- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Officer, or similar role, preferably within a nonprofit context.

- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Experience with fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector.

What You Need To Know

Effective time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills

Post-secondary education and/or courses relevant to administration, or a c ombination of education and experience may be considered

Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma in Business, Finance or a related field, and/or equivalent relevant work experience

Key participant in a variety of Finance projects.

Maintenance and publishing on SharePoint & VGCA Intranet of Finance documents/programs.

Performs other general administrative tasks for the finance department as a whole (including regulatory)

Strong familiarity with Real Estate and Land Management and understanding the industry dynamics, market trends and competitive landscapes.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications and experience with Timberline by Sage.

Facilitate coordination and management of our workspaces and facilities operations, including vendor relationships, building maintenance, and ongoing office space requirements

Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team

Understand risk management efforts and translate that work into effective communication to current and potential investors

Communicate and motivate your direct reports and clearly explain expectations and responsibilities

Review, streamline and refine all formal finance procedures
