Business Information Management Analyst

On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Business Information Management Analyst.
Business Information Management Analyst –

• Manage data work activities requiring coordination across multiple areas
• Participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives by conducting research and analysis related to data changes and issues.
• Identify and monitor the quality of critical data elements
• Lead the completion of metadata and data quality tasks and document best practices using Confluence
• Protect the interests of the organization; identify and manage risks, raising issues as necessary
• Assist our executives with presentation work
• This position is a hybrid role, requiring you to be in the office at least two days a week, subject to change based on business needs
• Communicate analysis and impacts of data management issues and priorities to a diverse audience, including Senior Leaders.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities with the data not meeting business needs or not clearly understood
• Support the integrated implementation of data management policies, procedures, and changes across multiple functional areas across our department
• The position is located in Toronto
• Lead, motivate and build positive working relationships with internal and external partners; continually improve professional expertise, knowledge transfer and be a brand ambassador for data management
• Manage support for Data Owners in ensuring the quality, use, and meaning of the data owned by our department and the businesses we support
• You will be working on a few projects which involve a mix of documentation on Confluence and designing presentations on PowerPoint
• This position offers the unique opportunity to work closely with executive-level leadership and make significant contributions to our business unit
• Provide specialized management advice and support to teams, management, leadership
• Assist business stakeholders to make decisions along the entire data lifecycle

Business Information Management Analyst – Mandatory Skills

• Solid understanding of data governance/data management principles and an understanding of data risk
• 10+ years of experience in designing, creating PowerPoint presentations in any capacity
• Planning and organizational skills with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to navigate in an ambiguous environment with a "can-do" attitude
• Excellent knowledge of documenting processes, procedures using Confluence and preferably JIRA
• Previous experience working with Executives

Business Information Management Analyst - Preferred Skills

• Communication degree or equivalent experience in writing reports is preferred
