KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keeping clients informed to strive for successful completion of the arrangement and handling any objections accordingly.
• Responsible for the entire banking function, including the collection of funds, distribution of payments and reconciliation of Estate accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Liaising with all areas of the business to coordinate and update any necessary changes to the banking procedure.
• Monitoring cases for Deemed Annulment, issuing the appropriate forms, discussing next steps with the client and either reviving or closing the case.
• Monitoring cases near completion and issuing Certificate’s of Full Performance, preparing the Final Statements of Receipts & Disbursements, and ensuring the case is closed in a timely manner.
• Any other duties as required.
• Ensuring all transactions are recorded to an Audit level standard and comply with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy’s regulations.
• Creating and issuing interim dividend distributions, ensuring all claims have been reviewed and are inputted correctly, the preparation of the Statement of Receipts & Disbursements for trustee review the mailing and reconciliation of dividend cheques.
• Providing reports to the Finance department regarding arrears, failed cases, and initial payments.
• Preparing monthly fee distributions and issuing cheques accordingly.
• Liaising with creditors regarding uncashed dividend cheques.
• Responding to any banking related queries from the clients including but not limited to upcoming payment issues, dividend return to creditors, outstanding balance etc.
• Monitoring the arrears to ensure they are kept to a minimum and resolved in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Skills required to fulfil the role:

• Strong written and spoke English.
• Good customer service and objection handling skills
• Proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure in a calm, professional and positive manner
• Attention to detail is essential
• Understand the importance of confidentiality with access to sensitive information
• Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
