The Foundry is a coworking space and community hub for entrepreneurs and remote workers in

Collingwood and the South Georgian Bay region.We have a strong focus on building community and connections to support the growth of our members' businesses and careers.Whether that's through access to workspace, meeting space, mentorship, networking, programming, events, or funding.


Job Summary


We're on the lookout for someone exceptional, driven, and full of energy to become a full time part of our amazing team at The Collingwood Foundry. As an Assistant CommunityManager, you'll play a vital role in fostering a thriving and connected community. You'll support and engage with members, ensuring their value and voice are heard. Your efforts will create an organized and inviting space, nurturing a vibrant and engaged community. Key Responsibilities:


  • Event coordination and day of support
  • Operations - on and off-boarding members, community communications, event and website management
  • Social media management - posting, creating graphics, engagement
  • Day-to-day support - tour prospective members, collect mail, answer questions, answer the phone, troubleshoot issues that arise
  • Engaging in events to develop and foster relationships with members
  • Front-desk - Greeting guests, receiving mail, opening, and closing, providing tours
  • Email Marketing, newsletters and growth campaigns
  • Facility management - as needed
  • Project work for members’ businesses - including but not limited to email management, customer service, website updates, email marketing, social media management


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Passion for creating a positive and inclusive community experience for all
  • Previous experience in a coworking or entrepreneurial setting is an asset but not required
  • Comfortable with moving between big vision work and simple operational tasks (ie. You might help plan a workshop in the morning and need to restock paper towels and coffee in the afternoon)
  • You love a fast-moving environment and produce high-quality work
  • Detail-oriented
  • Self-directed and takes initiative
  • Highly organized and the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in marketing and social media management
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Comfortable learning/using a variety of software including: Zapier, Canva, Asana, Google Drive, Calendly, Mailchimp
  • Ability to understand project management, problem solve, and learn quickly
