The Applications Business Support accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget, and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

• Conduct assessments to improve existing procedures and drive automation of processes
• Team lead for handling Compliance and Management Reporting requirements
• Proactively work to minimize support queries, analyze the root cause of issues and understand the business and processes impacted on behalf of the team
• Team career management
• Maintain a high-level of service for traders and internal / external clients and act as primary contact for the team covering trading setups and administration.

Support Capability

• Ensure all issues are tracked and work closely with business development managers to prioritize resolution
• Strong process awareness and ability to manage day-day requests, queries, issues/problems and customer escalations
• Monitor the quality and impact of implemented processes/initiatives and recommend changes/enhancements, if any
• Embrace the values by upholding and exemplifying the values in daily interactions with internal and external clients
• Develop expertise in the relationships between clients, sales and technology teams
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues globally, sharing information and knowledge effectively
• Collate customer feedback and experience and translate them into new initiatives over process and system optimization
• Provide a world class support service to a geographically diverse user base

Business

• Develop in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of Futures/ Listed Derivatives business
• Communicate complex technical and functional issues to business users in a language they understand
• Run management meetings to report on projects, status and key challenges.

Required Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of experience
• Experience in handling new requests and issues in e-Trading Client Services or associated Operations group in a high availability/mission critical environment
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently problem solve in time critical scenarios
• Working experience in onboarding & administering electronic trading (e-Trading) users, administering trading limits, monitoring client execution flows & system alerts would be highly preferred
• Analytical skills to think clearly and resolve problems with good judgment under pressure
• Clear understanding of Listed Derivatives market structure along with an understanding of products, trading concepts, front to back trading lifecycle-Execution, Allocation, Clearing & Settlement process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Effective written and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of foreign languages will be an added advantage but not essential
• Ability to promote positive work relationship
• Ability to work at strategic and tactical operational levels
• Understanding of client trading architecture is preferred
• Understand criticality and concepts of information security
• Previous experience/knowledge of supporting a Futures trading business preferred
• Vendor applications such as Bloomberg, WebICE, CME Direct, GMI
• Demonstrated ability to learn new business concepts quickly
• Experience in data analysis and MIS reporting is preferred
• Display a flexible attitude to work and a great team player
• Experience and/or knowledge of financial & banking industry is a plus

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
