In this role, you will:

• Other duties as directed.
• Capture and interpret business requirements in the form of user stories.
• Works with the business to ensure appropriate governance is applied and adhered to in accordance with IT best practices.
• Develop and maintain new and existing Web Applications, Windows Services and work with SQL and Oracle Databases.
• Package and deploy software releases.
• Provide analytical and technical support for complex requests, projects, or initiatives.
• Develop software against business requirements and user stories.
• Provide monthly Project updates and SLA reports to the Director of Business Solutions.
• Develop technical solutions to support business processes within the organization and support updates to existing applications.
• Support the Babcock software applications for Babcock Canada
• Liaise with Solutions Architect and Director of Business Solutions on issues of business process and applicability to Babcock Canada applications
• Lead and Provide guidance to other team members and participate in continuous improvement of the development process.
• Write technical documentation for new and existing solutions.
• Assist business functions with translating process onto available toolsets using high level knowledge of major business capabilities and processes.
• Work with other Developers, Project Managers and Solution Managers throughout the software development lifecycle, following Agile Principles.

• Strong experience of ASP.NET Forms
• Experience of using DevOps for source control and software development.
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong experience of MVC.
• Strong experience of .NET, C#
• Experience of working in a large scale organization with ERP systems.
• Knowledge and experience of software development life cycle and approaches.
• Knowledge and experience of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies and practices.
• A methodical approach to problem solving.
• An analytical mind, natural fault-finding ability, close attention to detail and deep experience of software development.
• Experience of leading software development teams.
• Strong understanding and exposure to Object Oriented practices and principles.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in terms clearly understood by technical and non-technical audiences.
• Technical and/or business experience with demonstrable professional growth.
• Experience of developing and consuming SOAP, JSON and RESTful Web Services.
• Strong collaboration and consulting skills, committed to providing exceptional customer service and responding to user needs in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Ability to work with a number of web application applicable technologies e.g. JQuery, BootStrap, CSS.
• Other desired but not essential experience of unit testing, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports, MS Access, Telerik.
• Good knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation computer programs, preferably Microsoft.
• Technical writing skills with experience in gathering and documenting user requirements and the ability to produce documents ranging from specifications to user manuals.
• Strong experience of relational databases with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and SQL Server programming.
• Good organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities and objectives in a rapidly changing environment, while delivering quality service.
• Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date as well as any COVID boosters recommended by public health authorities
• You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
