(CITS Inc.) is a not-for-profit corporation, and registered charity, established in 1981 to maintain, operate and manage the 2,000 seat state-of-the art performing arts theatre situated in the Civic District of Downtown Kitchener. The theatre building, owned by the City of Kitchener, is also known as The Centre In The Square (CITS). Family programming is a priority, providing wonderful opportunities to introduce children to their first experiences with performing arts. The Role:
As the Administrative Assistant you will support managers, other employees, and clients by handling a wide range of tasks to ensure that all interactions between The Centre In The Square and others are positive and productive.
Your tasks are to be developed as your role grows but for a start, you willcomplete various tasks including but not limited to the following:
●Data entry (entering receipts and vendor invoicing)
●General administrative tasks for the General Manager
●Creation and distribution of various documents relating to upcoming performances (worksheets etc)
●Managing the storage and filing of organizational files and important documents
●Entering operational or overhead costs and documentation
●Reconciling expenses and credit card transactions

That’s you! You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role within a not-for-profit or charity organization, and you have:
●Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
●The ability to take initiative,
●A collaborative spirit,
●The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with competing priorities,
●Have a passion for the performing arts and encourage performers of all age levels and experience.
●Attention to detail and anticipating the needs of others
You possess the ability to work independently and have a great work ethic. You have the ability to be flexible, fluid, adaptable and can influence and motivate others across functional boundaries.You are not afraid to address difficult issues to improve performance while working under pressure.

What We Offer
Compensation: $45,000 per year
Benefits: Participation in OMERS pension plan as well as a generous group benefits plan.
This is a full-time, 12 month, temporary position based in the beautiful Downtown Kitchener.
You will be working 40 hours per week. Flexibility is possible.
Projected Start Date: September 18, 2023
