LeverageTek is actively seeking a Manager, Business Relationship Management for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON, on a hybrid basis.
Key Tasks
- Maintains knowledge of evolving trends in technology and product/service digital experience and uses this knowledge and expertise to guide clients
- Leads feasibility evaluation of technologies and prepares points of views/proof of concepts, in partnership with Information Technology Services (ITS) and other internal and external resources
- Documents current state and designs target state operating models, using Lean and user-experience (UX) design principles
- Acts as a digital business strategy partner and advisor, creating technology and digital experience roadmaps to support the client’s overall business goals and business plan
- Acts as the main point of contact for the client for all technology requests
- Analyzes work processes, systems, and organizational functions using interviews, observation, data, statistical analysis, and research to determine where and how to generate measurable benefits for the client
- Manages and prioritizes all requests related to digital experience, automation, and process improvement
- Manages a team of full-time Business Analysts
- Works with the BRM Practitioners and Business Analyst to develop business case documents with clearly defined needs and scope and for all priority technology requests
Key Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive experience in managing, coaching and mentoring personnel as well as managing operating and capital budgets.
- 9+ years of experience in a combination of IT or Business leadership, digital strategy, business support, application support, and project management with a strong record of delivering quality outcomes and client satisfaction
- Business Relationship Management Profession Certification
Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of application development, systems development lifecycle and systems deployment methodologies
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work effectively with management, peers, staff, and other stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field or a combination of education and experience
- Experience coordinating, working with and presenting to upper management and senior executives
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills. Able to communicate well at varying levels of the hierarchy including at VP level
- Proven team management capability
- Excellent contract management skills
- Broad knowledge of major technologies
- Experience in developing closely aligned and pragmatic IT plans/roadmaps to establish technology as a key enabler of business strategy
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience leading teams and managing deliverables in a matrixed and contracted environment.
- Excellent financial management skills
- Experience delivering automation solutions combined with business process improvement initiatives
- Strong process engineering/design skills
Assets
- Training/certification in Lean Management
- Training/certification in Project Management (PMP, Agile certification, etc.)
- ITIL certification
- Experience in post-secondary education
