Accounting Manager Jobs

Our client, an established Canadian regulatory body, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in Burlington, ON on a full-time permanent basis! This role will be a fully remote position, with the candidate required to be on-site as needed. This opportunity offers a competitive base salary ranging from $85k-$110k based on prior level of experience, 5 weeks of vacation, full benefits, and an opportunity to grow within their organization. Roles and Responsibilities

• Support with any other tasks assigned
• Preparation of government/ministry reporting
• Maintenance and filing of benefits program
• Preparation of relevant Canadian government returns
• Expense review and approval
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Responsible for ensuring that all accounting entries are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP
• Preparation of the quarterly and year-end financial management reports comparing actuals against budget and explanation of related variance analysis
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all payroll services through to preparation of T4s and other statement of earnings
• Review and approval of all payroll input data from the third party payroll services in Canada and all international entities, as well as applicable journal entries
• Supervise A/R Manager, A/P Manager, Payroll Coordinator and 3 Accounting Coordinators.
• Supports Controller in preparation of annual budget and forecasting
• Preparation and coordination of year-end annual audit including support to external auditors
• Inventory management
• Preparation of HST and other tax returns
• Credit card reconciliation
• Cash flow management
• Payroll

Qualifications and Skills

• 5-8 years of accounting experience in a senior or managerial accountant level
• CPA designation is required/mandatory for this role
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and written
• Considered a strong asset if candidate is bilingual in both French and English.
• Ability to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and communicate to funders and other stakeholders
• Must have prior experience working in a non-profit, regulatory body or membership association/organization.
