Your Responsibilities In a Nutshell

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements - Ensure that financial reports are accurate and on time - Collaborate with the Controller to analyze financial data and provide information to support management decision-making - Oversee general accounting processes - Maintain general ledger to ensure accuracy of financial records - Participate in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures - Support budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to gather relevant financial data - Provide analysis and recommendations to improve budgeting accuracy and financial performance - Coordinate internal and external audits - Keep abreast of accounting regulations and ensure compliance with changes to accounting standards - Perform financial analysis, analyses of variance and trend analyses to identify cost reduction opportunities - Present financial reports to management and senior executives - Coach finance team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment - Assist in recruiting and hiring new team members, as required - Support special financial projects - Collaborate in optimizing processes to increase efficiency of financial reporting

Your Strengths For This Position

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bilingualism: required
• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial analysis tools is an asset
• Proficiency in accounting software and Office Suite (Excel)
• Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience as an accounting manager or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate finance or public accounting environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, internal controls and potentially US GAAP
• Leadership skills that foster a collaborative team culture
• CPA designation
