  • Participate in year-end audit.
  • Developing and preparing various value-added financial analyses
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules to be submitted to the corporate accounting team.
  • Work closely with Business Unit (BU) partners to understand their business, help them understand their financial drivers, and challenge their assumptions.
  • Advise support staff on general accounting and financial reporting systems, policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Support the Financial Controller in the accomplishment of all his responsibilities.
  • Recommend and participate in the implementation of improvement measures where necessary. This includes being a key participant in computer system troubleshooting, improvements and conversions.
  • Provide meaningful analysis of both direct and indirect production costs to management.
  • Provide a variety of ad-hoc financial reports, as requested.
  • Oversee month-end closing.
  • Oversee the processes related to the accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset management and intercompany transactions.
  • Provide analysis of regular operating costs on a monthly basis.
  • Control accuracy of inventory volume and costing.


Qualifications


  • Autonomy, diplomacy, tenacity, rigor, flexibility and a hands-on approach are required for this position.
  • Person having an analytical mind, a self-starter and an ability to function with minimal supervision.
  • 3 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Must be fluently bilingual in French and English
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Thorough knowledge of full cycle accounting.
  • Person with attention to details, strong ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
