Our expectations

The Accounting Analyst acts as an expert in his/her field. You may be called upon to work in any of the following specializations based on your skillset: payroll and total compensation, marketing, retail operations - stores, information technology, distribution, fleet, etc. You will contribute to the preparation and reliability of financial data, reconcile balance sheets and analyses expenses and explains budget variances. In addition, as an Accounting Analyst, you will support the team in the preparation of management reports and analysis.

Your role

• Participate in the optimization and automation of processes;
• Ensure that internal controls are appropriate and fully respected;
• Prepare and document the reconciliation of the balance sheets of the assigned department in a timely manner;
• Analyze budget variances in comparison to the previous year and partner with the FP&A team to explain variances;
• Participate in various special projects (on an ad hoc basis).
• Perform month-end accounting entries and establish month-end accruals;
• Prepare and document the accounting provisions for the assigned department;

The Qualifications We Are Looking For

• CPA designation, an asset
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Experience with accounting systems such as Oracle / EBS, an asset
• Experience in the retail industry is an asset
• We require all our head office associates to be proficient in French, spoken and written.
• Bachelor degree business administration, accounting or finance
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and multi-stakeholder collaboration skills
• Ability to establish priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Sense of initiative and rigor
• Mastering Excel, advanced level
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills
