Intermediate Accountant, General Accounting

Position title: Intermediate Accountant, General Accounting - a functional level of French is required

Location: Montreal (hybrid) - must be able to physically come to the office in downtown Montreal twice a week

Reports to: Manager, General Accounting

Reporting to the Manager, General Accounting your role will consist in registering financial accounting transactions for our Head Office. This is an intermediate level type of position requiring about 3 years of experience as an accountant.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Generate financial reports;
• Follow the assets of the Head Office other than the IT assets and perform the commissioning necessary to those.
• Identify the necessary provisions for the purposes of accounting procedures;
• Register financial accounting transactions for our Head Office;
• Produce accounting entries;
• Be involved in the quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation;
• Participate in the analysis of the Corporate activities and support managers as well as special reports requested by our internal customers;

Professional Experience/Qualifications

• You have a very good experience with Microsoft Office;
• You are bilingual (written and spoken) in French (intermediate level) and English*.
• Your professional designation is an asset;
• You have a good knowledge of GAAP;
• Your knowledge of SAP (FI/CO) is an asset;
• You are titular or in way to obtain from a university degree in accounting;
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a position in accounting;

*This is required since as part of this function, you will have to intervene with customers, partners and/or our American subsidiaries on a recurring basis, both orally and in writing.
