Staff Accountant Jobs

Four Eyes is a high-growth software company headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, looking to welcome an ambitious Staff Accountant to the internal finance & operations team. The successful candidate will directly contribute to implementing and ensuring strong financial reporting, including insights and plans for improvement.
Focus Areas
Financial Operations: Ensure the company maintains a deep understanding of its current and future financial status.

• Prepare variance reports (actual versus budget).
• Analyze financial statements & data to garner insights and quickly identify target areas of opportunity or improvement.
• Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely journal entries.
• Complete ad-hoc special projects and/or financial analysis for stakeholders as needed.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for stakeholders.
• Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficient at managing responsibilities & deadlines with limited supervision.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered a valuable asset.
• Holds a Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• BONUS: Experience working with Quickbooks Online.
• Attention to detail and client confidentiality.
• Strong financial acumen, including a solid understanding of the financial and accounting standards applicable to small businesses (ASPE & IFRS).
