Project Manager, Corporate Services (contract)

• University Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Public Administration, Business Administration or suitable equivalent.

• Minimum of five (5) years' related work experience.

Your Responsibilities In a Nutshell

Minimum of 10 years of Capital Project Management experience, including at least 5 years of leadership experience

Demonstrated skill/knowledge in the following areas:

Capital project management and project controls

Strong written and verbal communication skills with project manager, procurement, vendors/contractors, and leadership.

Facilitate the management of the Capital Budget in conjunction with the Manufacturing & Commercial leaders for both Sustenance and Organic Growth

Experience in refinery or chemical manufacturing is preferred

Completion of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10+ years of related experience in project management.

Working towards or completion of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.

Plan and schedule project timelines, workflow and achievements using the Cenovus Project Management Office (CPMO) Delivery Execution Framework, tools and processes.

Perform effective risk management to resolve issues/conflicts that may arise within the project team.

Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, abilities and experience levels.

Knowledge of legal and contract management desirable

Supports the Program Management Office in all program governance activities

Valued for your 4-6 years in project management using project management methodologies, principles and practices

Ability to work effectively with various levels of management and cross-functional teams

Draft integration/separation plan for review and finalization by Senior Program Manager

Works with Program Managers to resolve issues and remove roadblocks across project teams

Assist the Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Management in the timely accurate maintenance of strategic and tactical planning efforts.
