Accounting Manager Jobs

We are a small, family-run pallet and packaging manufacturing and lumber distribution company in Saint-Eustache and we are looking for an accounting manager to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a small-business mentality, meaning the ability to pivot from one task to another and be flexible about helping out wherever they're needed. We are growing and we are looking for a candidate who can grow with us, develop their skills and take on increasingly important roles in the company as we develop. The job includes the following tasks:

• Fixed asset activity
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Debt activity
• Check runs
• Month and end-year process
• Treasury, budgeting
• Payroll and utilities
• Trust account statement reconciliations,
• General ledger
• Cash forecasting
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• Provide recommendations
• Monitorand analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
• Accounts payable/receivable
• Improve systems and procedures andinitiatecorrective actions
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Capital assets reconciliations

The ideal candidate will have:

• Advanced computer skills on MS Office and accounting software
• Ability to direct and supervise
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager or Finance Manager
• Knowledge of Acomba an asset
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• Written and spoken abilities in French (English an asset)
