2929 Hospital Diagnostic Instrument Technical Support

A state-of-the-art clinical diagnostics instrument company selling primarily to hospital clinical diagnostics departments has an exciting opportunity for a Toronto based WFH technical instrumentation support specialist. You will provide customer training, demos, equipment installation, and repair - both hardware and software. Requires 3 years' Canadian bench experience as well as a customer support, FSE, application support background. WFH with 25% travel.

Role And Responsibilities

• Help provide 24/7 coverage during holidays and re technical support rotation schedule.
• Educate / train clients in optimum operation of instruments.
• Keep system and equipment information up to date and contribute to training staff.
• Provide timely response to customer and internal users regarding issues such as downtime and malfunctions.
• Demonstrate, install and maintain equipment, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance and repair- virtually and in person.

Requirements

• Bilingual (French / English) an asset.
• At least 3 years of laboratory bench work in Canada (hospital diagnostics preferred).
• Job is home based, in Toronto. WFH with 25% travel.
• Must be able to attend meetings / training in Markham office as required.
• MLT (Licensed Medical Lab Technologist, CSLT or ASCP designation preferred, but will consider B.Sc.
• Able to travel, work flex hours.
• Driver's license and Canadian passport.
• MUST have experience installing and repairing complex hospital diagnostic equipment, such as analyzers for hematology, microbiology, molecular biology, pathology, general lab equipment.
• Strong customer satisfaction orientation and interact positively dealing with people.
• In-depth understanding of medical diagnostic tests and procedures in a clinical setting.
