Previous undergraduate experience in hardrock underground metalliferous mining environment.

Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems, i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, ISO9001 quality management systems

Project management and project commercial management experience

Strong level of commercial acumen, including cash collection, workshare, change management and contract review and management

Project Managers: 10+ years of related experience in oil and gas, particularly refinery/processing facility capital/MOC/maintenance projects or pipelines/pipeline facilities

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a project engineering (4 years for project managers) role

Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure inter-discipline requirements of design interface and schedule dependencies are met

Project Engineers: 6 to 10 years of related experience in oil and gas, particularly refinery/processing facility capital/MOC/maintenance projects or pipelines/pipeline facilities

Brownfield project experience is required

Management of a variety of geotechnical engineering projects;

10+ years of related work experience;

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Strong technical report writing skills;

Strong skills in MS Office software, including Word and Excel, and other programs including AutoCAD and Geo-Slope;

Coordination of fieldwork associated with a wide range of investigations, including drilling and test pitting;

Project design, management and oil field facility construction experience is desirable.

Your 5 to 10 years of engineering experience will primarily be within the oil and gas industry.

Experience with upstream oil and gas facility operations and process is required.

Good working knowledge of piping design, electrical/instrumentation, civil/structural design and material specification is desirable.

Minimum 5 year geotechnical/rock mechanics experience with knowledge of underground hard rock mining or tunneling

Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements

Understanding or working knowledge of various ground support systems and applications

Experience with 3D mining software eg. MineSight, Deswick

Experience with 3D geological modelling software eg. Leapfrog

Manage client expectations and negotiate favourable project outcomes

Review contracts with project stakeholders and ensure full comprehension of project terms and requirements

5+ years of experience in EPCM and/or Owner Operations managing capital and small sustaining projects

Relevant Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; professional engineering (P.Eng.) license or P.Eng. obtained within a year.

Have 3+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, prior experience in consulting engineering is an asset

Have previous experience with site investigations to assess site suitability for development (plant sites, subdivisions, buildings, pavement designs)

Possess excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment

Coordinate and conduct surface and subsurface site investigations, such as borehole logging and soil/rock sampling

Prepare geotechnical engineering reports based on investigations and analyses

Conduct geotechnical engineering analyses, including design of shallow and deep foundations and slope stability modeling

Experience in a consulting engineering environment would be considered an asset but is not mandatory

Experience writing internal and external reports and proposals

Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment

Experience modelling geotechnical projects using finite element software (PLAXIS, etc), LPILE, WEAP, etc. a definite asset

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), teamwork and mentorship skills are essential
