Overall Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

Project design, management and oil field facility construction experience is desirable.

Your 5 to 10 years of engineering experience will primarily be within the oil and gas industry.

Experience with upstream oil and gas facility operations and process is required.

Good working knowledge of piping design, electrical/instrumentation, civil/structural design and material specification is desirable.

Knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards (B31.3, CSA Z662, OH&S codes), AER would be an asset.

Available Position: Engineer – Project Manager

Be involved in all project aspects including design/study development, construction management, project management, RFI's/RFPs/Submittals, and client meetings.

Lead construction management tasks such as material submittal reviews, build reviews and coordination with Contractors.

8 or more years of proven experience in civil or mechanical engineering

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents.

Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager

Experience in material procurement process and subconsultant management is required.

Project Managers: 10+ years of related experience in oil and gas, particularly refinery/processing facility capital/MOC/maintenance projects or pipelines/pipeline facilities.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a project engineering (4 years for project managers) role.

Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure inter-discipline requirements of design interface and schedule dependencies are met.

Project Engineers: 6 to 10 years of related experience in oil and gas, particularly refinery/processing facility capital/MOC/maintenance projects or pipelines/pipeline facilities.

Brownfield project experience is required.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, and engineering design; experience with geotechnical software; ability to interpret geotechnical data.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong organizational and time management skills.

Knowledge of using falling weight deflectometer and slope inclinometer devices (would be considered an asset)

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret data; problem-solving skills; attention to detail.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Relevant Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; professional engineering (P.Eng.) license or P.Eng. obtained within a year.

Experience in a consulting engineering environment would be considered an asset but is not mandatory

Experience writing internal and external reports and proposals

Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment

Experience modelling geotechnical projects using finite element software (PLAXIS, etc), LPILE, WEAP, etc. a definite asset

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), teamwork and mentorship skills are essential

Working in all aspects of geotechnical investigations from cradle to grave
