Capital Asset Coordinator Jobs

Experience within the Property Management and/or Investment industries considered an asset.

Valid Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) Certification;

Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a fast paced, high growth, corporate environment;

Track and update fuel consumption management system and run reports

Informs and makes recommendations to the management team on compliance with legal aspects of fleet management

Monitor the execution of the plans developed in the field with business unit managers

3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role

Knowledge of CMMS systems (Maximo, an asset)

Good knowledge of mobile assets (Forklifts, Cranes, Excavators, Loaders, Bobcats, etc)

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, as directed by management to inform directions, milestones, and decisions guiding the project.

3-5 years of experience in a similar role

Conducts research using As-Built record drawings, equipment manuals, and design ideas.

Plan, organize, and coordinate project meetings and take minutes.

Degree or Diploma, preferably in a field related to Construction or building technology.

Capable of discerning the internal features or components of a building

3+ years' defining process and data requirements for an IT Asset Management system and/or process.

Experience with an Asset Management system and process is an asset.

Hardware Management: including employee workstations, monitors, mobile devices, printers and other peripherals

Software Management: including tracking and licensing of corporate software assets

Ability to interact well with, and respond to inquiries from employees, Management and vendors

3+ years' experience with ITSM ITIL processes and frameworks preferred

Experience with digital asset management systems

Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Technical skills, including knowledge of video editing software, cameras, lighting, and other equipment used in video production.

Support the development and organization of our digital asset management system and content guidelines.

Experience coordinating projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors on tight timelines.

Experience with content guidelines development or implementation

A minimum of 10 years of Asset Maintenance Management experience with surface and underground mining production and support equipment.

Be technically competent, with the ability to listen, inspire and develop team members with strong oral and written communication skills.

University degree in accounting, finance, or economics

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience

Experience in retail industry (strong asset)

Supports internal asset management training and external knowledge sharing within the regional community of practice.

Certifications in asset management and project management are an asset.

Working knowledge of asset management practices in operations and maintenance, long-term capital planning, multi-criteria decision-making, and/or financial planning.

Responds to ad-hoc requests for assistance from divisions to support grant and asset management activities.

Develops and facilitates a prioritization process for decision-making at all phases of program management.

Contributes to and coordinates collaborative projects related to actions in the Corporate Asset Management Strategy.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field supplemented by related Budgeting and project management courses.

Demonstrated commitment to change and process management.

Maintain and manage database data integrity – drafts user guide and processes as the lead for the capital planning systems; and

Minimum of five (5) years’ recent related experience.

Experience with complex financial database systems, project planning and control are essential.

Microsoft office and excel experience – expert level

Postsecondary education in a related field

Experience with retail/commercial photography including fashion, lifestyle and product photography

Must have demonstrable experience in the application of business and management principles to the management of assets.

Developing and communicating the Asset Management Plan;

Development of business processes related to Asset Management;

Make appropriate Asset Management information available for decision making;

Assuring the quality of Asset Management processes;

Research, develop, implement, and maintain program/project management frameworks, standards, procedures, guidelines, systems, and templates.

Advocate for project management best practices and enable thoughtful engagement and information sharing between stakeholders.

Keep abreast of current research and trends to incorporate leading edge project management practices.

Initiate and manage relationships with cross-functional departments, teams and management to promote and build confidence in the value of CECC services.

Develop and maintain training materials and conduct training to guide project teams in applying project management best practices.

Perform and/or coordinate the planning, monitoring, analysis, evaluation and continuous improvement of program and project management processes.

Detailed knowledge of project management including cost control, scheduling, codes, standards, specifications, corporate procedures and applicable contract legislation.

Proficiency in the use of project management software and computer applications is essential.

Knowledge of the theory, principles and practices of civil engineering and architecture.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and think analytically.

Oversee engineering and/or architectural consultant services for the execution of infrastructure projects for new construction and alterations to existing fixed facilities.

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address design review comments; coordinate other projects interface.

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self management and accountability and flexibility/adaptability.

Assesses overall building condition and prepares reports for management to communicate deficiencies and expectations.

Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in Architectural or Engineering Sciences or approved equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Obtains input and requirements from other Regional Departments and Branches for the design of the assigned Regional capital renovation projects.

Knowledge of building construction and maintenance administration, including building elements and systems in a variety of buildings.

Knowledge of applicable Federal and Provincial Building Codes, the Construction Act, Municipal By-laws and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
