Position Description

You will be involved in effective operation of all assigned shifts, warehouse activities including picking, shipping and receiving. Additionally it entails

• Ensuring compliance with OHS procedures and practices.
• Establishing, maintaining and promoting high standards of customer service.
• Driving and maintaining 5S principles within their work area and the building.
• Administration duties as required to ensure daily KPI performance is achieved.
• Providing leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior.
• Ensuring all resources are utilized efficiently.
• Supervision of all staff under your direct or indirect control.
• Proven ability to have discipline discussions and give honest feedback in a professional manner.
• Communicating and implementing change as directed.
• Liaising with drivers, customers and warehouse personnel.
• Continuously monitoring the performance and activities of the shift operations through the use of KPI’s, with a primary focus on cost controls.
• Health and Safety compliance in accordance with company policies.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ industry related experience 2-3 years of which is in the Supervisory role
• Cross-departmental experience with the ability to develop strong business relationships

As the successful candidate, you have a “business first” approach with superior analytical and organizational skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong sense of urgency, are self-motivated and work effectively under pressure.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Detailed oriented and strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excel & systems knowledge – proficiency in Microsoft Office required; SAP experience required.
