Vice President of Operations

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to lead and oversee our manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and excellence in all aspects of production.
Position Overview: The Vice President of Operations will be a crucial member of our senior leadership team, responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing manufacturing operations to achieve operational excellence. This role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in optimizing processes, driving continuous improvement, managing resources, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within the operations department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication of goals and expectations.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Develop and manage the operations budget, tracking expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies to streamline operations and reduce waste.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize lead times.
  • Lead and support initiatives that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to maximize productivity and meet production schedules.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancements.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Enforce a strong safety culture across the manufacturing operations, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Implement safety protocols and training programs to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
  • Develop and refine quality assurance protocols to minimize defects and uphold product integrity.
  • Supply Chain Management:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective material sourcing.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, empowering teams to propose ideas, and implementing best practices.
Qualifications
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Results-oriented approach with a history of achieving operational targets and KPIs.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, supply chain management, and health/safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operations management.
  • Proven track record in senior operations leadership roles within the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
