Description
Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. If you are an experienced VP of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.
Your responsibilities

• Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts
• Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives
• Take ownership of insurance and risk management
• Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal
• Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
• Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions
• Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans
• Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
• Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
• Prepare financial analysis for product investment decisions and contract negotiations
• Supervise all financial reporting preparation
• Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
• Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff
• Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting and finance experience
• Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems
• Expert understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• MBA or CPA is preferred
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
• High analytical and extremely detailed
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
