Job Description

We are seeking an innovative, marketing-ledVP of Marketing and Salesfor a permanent full-time position at our Hamilton office. Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for defining and implementing the sales and marketing strategies for the "Clients" suite of products: MTKG, Pay, and POS. You will directly manage the Business Development, Client Success, and Marketing teams. The primary expectation will be to continue to drive software and payment sales growth, partnership acquisition and management, large account acquisition and retention, as well as help drive product and business strategies. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will help drive profitability, develop and attract key staff, and drive strategic direction.

What you’ll do

  • Build, manage, and expand relationships with current and potential internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and execute a best-in-class customer success model in alignment with operations, product development and engineering teams.
  • Provide performance management feedback and corrective action to direct reports when required.
  • Establish clear sales and marketing metrics and benchmarks for measuring progress and maintaining focus
  • Engage in effective communication with clients, staff, and management.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners and clients to research market needs and identify possible new product solutions
  • Provide decisive and effective leadership for all sales, marketing, and channel development efforts.
  • Present and discuss in detail all Ackroo’s and their respective strategic partners’ solutions, technologies and use cases.
  • Actively monitor the performance of the sales and marketing staff to ensure that quarterly and annual sales targets are met or exceeded
  • Develop and execute marketing and pipeline growth initiatives
  • Collaborate with the executive team to build the right sales, marketing, and channel Go-to-Market strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment and training processes of sales and marketing team members.
  • Implement a proven and consistent sales methodology to accurately forecast sales.
  • Perform market research, competitive analysis, and SWOT analysis to gain an understanding of competitors, and to better understand customer buying behaviors.


A little bit about you

Must-have qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B sales and customer relations experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • 5+ years in SaaS sales
  • 5+ years experience setting marketing strategy at a senior level
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area or equivalent
  • Top-notch interpersonal communications skills and proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Comfortable reaching out and conversing with contacts, potential clients, business owners and business leaders at any level
  • 5+ years experience in the Payments industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • 10+ years of senior sales and marketing management experience with a consistent track record of exceeding targets, with a focus on Marketing first


Assets

  • MBA or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Marketing services and technology background
  • Previous experience working in software, merchant services, payment services, gift card, loyalty, petroleum, retail and/or hospitality industry position
  • Experience selling to businesses in the Petroleum, Retail or Hospitality industries
  • Experience working at a start-up company with an entrepreneurial environment
